Johnson Creek Water Shed Council - Working to restore and protect the narrow ribbon of green and blue, Johnson Creek, which is one of the resources that makes the Outer SE Portland area such a wonderful place to live. Leach Botanical Garden specializes in preserving the original Leach collection as well as introducing Northwest native plants through educational programs, conservation, and community involvement.
 Audubon Society of Portland promotes the understanding, enjoyment, and protection of native birds, other wildlife and their habitats. We focus on our local community and the Pacific Northwest.
 Friends of Trees is partnering with the city of Portland in its five-year Grey to Green Initiative to transform Portland's grey infrastructure to green. The initiative's goal is to plant 33,000 yard trees and 50,000 street trees citywide.
Friends of Powell Butte is a group committed to protecting and enhancing Powell Butte Nature Park located in outer southeast Portland. They are busy supporting tree plantings, wildlife restorations and recreational fun.
The David Douglas School District was formed in 1959 as a consolidation of the Gilbert, Powellhurst, and Russellville elementary school districts and the David Douglas Union High School District. They currently have ten elementary schools (6 in the PGNA boundary), three middle schools (2 in the PGNA boundary) and one high school with an alternative school campus. David Douglas School District serves over 10,330 students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Their students come from diverse backgrounds and at last count they had 67 different languages spoken by their students.
Portland YouthBuilders – YouthMedia is helping students cross the “digital divide” by providing state of the art curriculum in graphic design, web development, animation, audio, and video production to low-income students. We’re excited to be working with them and knowing the end result will be of benefit to all 13 outer southeast Portland neighborhoods.
Human Solutions is working to eliminate barriers to escaping poverty through emergency family shelter, job training, affordable housing, eviction prevention, and emergency household assistance.
ROSE Community Development combines affordable housing programs with supportive services and economic opportunities to Revitalize Outer South East.
