Judith Glad

Judith B. Glad — PGNA Board member, Treasurer

Judith B. Glad has lived in Portland since 1975, and in the Powellhurst-Gilbert Neighborhood since 1995. She has worked, at various times in her life as, a fry cook, a nurse's aid, a Coca-Cola bottler, a technical editor, a retail clerk, an accountant, and a botanical consultant. At present she is a writer, with seventeen books and a number of short works published, as well as several botanical papers. She is Senior Editor at Uncial Press, a publisher of textbooks and electronic books.

Judith served on ODOT's Bicycle-Pedestrian Advisory Committee for six years, as an Oregon State Parks camp host over a five year period, and as treasurer of two writers' organizations. She has also volunteered as a proofreader for Project Gutenberg.

Aside from writing, Judith's principal interests are reading, bicycling, needlework, and raising tomatoes. The last activity is the most challenging, though occasionally rewarding.
